Charizard ex Super Premium Collection Review

The Charizard ex Super premium Collection is releasing on October 4, 2024 and we’re going to be taking a look at what’s inside, and whether or not you should pick this bad boy up! Luckily, Joshhatter on X shared some early images of the product and what it looks like outside the box. I have to say I am impressed!

The Charizard figure looks much cooler than I thought it would, and that’s a fair deal of packs you get along with it (10 in total). The promos you get (while not the uber popular Charizard ex Tera type) still look cool, and seem to have a special foil pattern to commemorate their inclusion in this collection.

Who is the Charizard ex collection a good fit for?

I don’t think there’s any mistake this collection is getting released do close to Christmas this year. The best possible option for this product is as a Christmas gift or more expensive stocking stuffer for a loved one. While not really a toy, this Charizard would look great on the shelf of any mega Pokemon fan. And you can actually display a card with it.

Who wouldn’t this collection be a good fit for?

I wouldn’t pick this up if you were purely looking for ROI from the pulls you get. There are much, much cheaper ways to get ten packs. That being said, part of the fun of collecting Pokemon cards is the experience and memories of opening them, and I for one would certainly always remember opening these packs alongside this epic, fire breathing Charizard.

The verdict

If you are a Pokemon fan, Charizard lover, or looking for something epic to get that special Pokemon loving person in your life, this Super Premium Collection is worth it, while more hardened collectors might want to steer elsewhere for more odds of pulling rare cards for less money.

Get it on TCGPlayer for less than you’ll pay for it in stores!
