10 Most Expensive Brilliant Stars Chase Cards
It’s been a while since the meta bending Brilliant Stars pack was released. Looking back, we can easily say that it was one of the best Pokemon packs to be released in recent memory. It just had a lot going for it – super rare cards, fantastic new mechanics, and an archetype that to this day is being played in the Pokemon TCG.
In this list, we’re going to be looking at which cards are the most valuable today, and taking a look at the single most expensive Brilliant Star card of them all.

This particular gold card was very exciting when Brilliant Stars first came out, and it’s still holding up value pretty well overtime. While Galarian Moltres V doesn’t see a lot of play competitively anymore, this card comes from a time when it was in almost every deck thanks to its handy ability and powerful attack.
Apart from that, it’s just a cool looking card.
Lumineon V was a game changing card when it came out. Until that time, the only Pokemon V that could really help you get more resources into your hand upon playing was Crobat V. Lumineon’s ability to let you search your deck for any supporter was underappreciated in a format ruled by the Inteleon engine. Today, however, Lumineon still sees plenty of use thanks to its versatility.
Apart from its playability, this alt art is arguably the most beautiful rendition of Lumineon V available on the market, and the fact that you can get it for under $10 is a pretty good bargain.
Rainbow rare cards are unique to a particular part of Pokemon history, and the latest sets don’t even have them. For that reason, it’s pretty cool to collect them. While this Arceus VSTAR rainbow rare card isn’t the most valuable out there, picking it up at market price is a pretty good value, and could make a great addition to your collection whether you are an avid Arceus fan, or just looking to complete your Brilliant Stars collection.
Don’t confuse this Marnie full art card with another even more popular Marnie card that saw prodigious play in the Sword & Shield era of Pokemon TCG. While this card never got much play, people like Marnie as a trainer, helping her fetch higher value than other full art supporters in this set.
Given its the star of the set, we shouldn’t really be surprised to see so many Arceus cards on this list. One of the most popular and valuable of them is the Gold card featuring Arceus VSTAR. There’s several options for collecting Arceus VSTAR in this set, so you’ll just have to pick whichever one you like the best (or all of them).
It’s not very often that ultra rare cards remain at the top of a most valuable Pokemon list. But they do if those ultra rare cards happen to feature Charizard. As far as they go, this is a pretty cool ultra rare Pokemon V. And while it may not have ever seen competitive play, the Charizard from this set is certainly memorable, and a fantastic collector’s item.
My personal favorite card from this set is actually the Gold Ultra Ball card. Why? Well, Brilliant Stars was a memorable set for players in many ways, and one of those was because it brought the Ultra Ball back to the game. The Ultra Ball provided a lot of added utility to decks, and this gold card sort of commemorates that in our memory.
For a card featuring a Poke Ball, it’s also pretty beautiful. This one is certainly worth picking up for your collection, even if the other cards in Brilliant Stars somehow fail to capture your fancy.
Another super rare card from the set, Arceus V Alternative Art is going for a good amount online right now, but it’s still a bit cheaper than the most expensive Brilliant Stars cards. This card is easily one of the most beautiful in the set, however, with a fantastic concept that ties into the lore of Arceus.
When it was first released, Charizard VSTAR Rainbow Rare was by far the most expensive card in all of Brilliant Stars. In fact, the night of the prerelease we actually pulled it from a booster pack, and sold it online that very night!
Since then, the price has dropped considerably. Still, it’s a card from a pretty epic set and it features Charizard. Undoubtedly it will hold up some value over time, and the price it is going for online right now is a good value for collectors.
Here we go – another Charizard. However, this Charizard Alt Art really does the hype justice – it’s a very cool card featuring a powerful Charizard facing off against a Venusaur. When it first came out, Charizard V Alt Art wasn’t even as expensive as the Rainbow Rare VSTAR version. However, time has been better to this beautiful card, and it is now number one on the list, just as we predicted it would.
Charizard V Alt Art is easily the most collectible card in this entire set, and a must have for any serious Charizard collector.
