New Pokémon Chaos Rising Trailer Celebrates Release Day
You gotta love it whenever Pokémon drops a new trailer video for the TCG. Today marks the official release date for the latest main Pokémon TCG set: Chaos Rising. And while diehard Pokémon TCG fans are already lining up at department stores and local game shops everywhere to bag their next big hit, the Pokémon Company is busy adding fuel to the fire via their latest promo trailer. You can watch the full 30 second trailer below.
At this point, we know just about everything there is to know about Chaos Rising. As such, the trailer isn’t focused so much on revealing spoilers or new info. Instead, it tells a story. In it, Mega Floette is the villain, shamelessly intimidating a poor Espurr.
Of course, the hero of the set is Mega Greninja. And Greninja won’t just stand idly by and let Floette have its way. It quickly rescues Espurr and stands ready to face the Eternal Flower – after a couple of flashy high-speed maneuvers, of course.
When things start to look a little dicey for Mega Greninja, it’s backed up by two more Mega Pokémon that you can collect from the set: Mega Pyroar and Mega Dragalge.
Despite being only 30 seconds, this trailer tells a cohesive story that perfectly sets up Chaos Rising. And if there’s one thing that the Pokémon Company knows how to do, it’s telling stories through their cards, their themed sets, and even the products themselves.
