The Five Most Expensive Cards in Shimmering Skies

Lorcana: Shimmering Skies is finally here, and we’re looking at which of its cards are the most expensive and sought after. Of course, the set’s Enchanted rare cards are going to be the most valuable as always. These cards are incredibly rare and hard to pull from packs. But which of these are proven to be the most expensive?

Let’s take a look below.

Mufasa – Rule of Pride Rock 217/204

Mufasa – Rule of Pride Rock 217/204

Market value: $241.87

To start things out, we’ll take a look at this gorgeously illustrated card featuring Mufasa. There are a couple of things going on here to make this card so valuable. For starters, it’s a beautiful card featuring a popular character. This is in fact the first time we’ve had an Enchanted form of Mufasa in the game and this card knocks it out of the park.

Secondly and perhaps more importantly is the hype this card is receiving from the player-base. In Lorcana, card prices are largely driven by the competitive market. Right now, players are really hyped about Mufasa’s competitive viability. However, I think players will soon find this card is not nearly as good as anticipated, and prices for it will drop.

Until then, Mufasa can enjoy its place at the top of most expensive Shimmering Skies cards.

Clarabelle – Light on Her Hooves 211/204

Clarabelle – Light on Her Hooves

Market value: $173.93

Clarabelle’s price point is something of a surprise to me as I haven’t seen a ton of chatter about her being a particularly strong card. She does have a nice collection of stats and a powerful ability, however, so she could see play. That being said, it could just be fans are excited for this first rendition of an Enchanted card for Clarabelle.

Snow White – Fair-Hearted 220/204

Market value: $285

Although the player’s market may be responsible for a lot of the value ascribed to Lorcana cards, sometimes artworks come along that are so gorgeous they warrant especially high values regardless of their competitive viability. Snow White – Fair-Hearted is one such card. This is quite clearly one of the most gorgeously illustrated Lorcana cards of all time, and I expect her artwork to hold up the best from this set overtime.

Robin Hood – Sharpshooter 215/204

Robin Hood – Sharpshooter

I’m not sure how popular of a character Robin Hood is in the greater Disney fandom, however he’s quite frequently depicted in Lorcana cards. While this card has an interesting ability, it’s undoubtedly its artwork that propels it to the top of the list of cards to chase in Shimmering Skies.

Prince Naveen – Ukelele Player 205/204

Prince Naveen – Ukelele Player 205/204

Market value: $150.29

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that Prince Naveen is going to be a long term chase card from Shimmering Skies. Prince Naveen is likely to be one of the strongest cards in Shimmering Skies thanks to a powerful ability that is quite attractive to Amber/Steel decks. Already this card is pretty hyped, and the artwork is great, too.
