The Top Shining Revelry Chase Cards, Ranked

Shining Revelry is here and so are a plethora of new, gorgeous cards to hunt for. Which cards look the best? Which will be the most hotly sought after? Below, let’s look at each of the top Shining Revelry chase cards ranked from good to great.

One thing to quickly note before we get into it: Shining Revelry includes a new Shiny rarity that we’ve not seen in Pokemon TCG Pocket before. This includes a single shiny rarity and a double shiny rarity. We don’t know yet how hard these shiny Pokemon card are going to be to pull, but regardless they should be highly sought after by collectors.

#10 Shiny Beedrill ex

#10 Shiny Beedrill ex

We’ll kick this ranking off with Shiny Beedrill ex. This card makes it to the top ten largely because it is a Shiny. Given this is the first time Shiny Pokemon have been included in a Pocket set, that should be reason enough for many to chase it. Its also got the advantage of being a Kanto original, adding further nostalgic value to this card. While there are other Shiny that should be more popular, Beedrill is a solid pull to be proud of.

#9 Gholdengo Illustration Rare

#9 Gholdengo Illustration Rare

Going by looks alone, this Illustration Rare Gholdengo is up there right next to Giratina ex in regards to artistic composition. That should make it a very exciting pull for most. However, its Illustration Rarity should lower its desirability just a smidge.

#8 Red Special Art

Red Special Art

Being the playable trainer from the very first Pokemon games, Red is an absolute legend of a character. He’s appeared in subsuquent games as something of a final boss, as well as in his own spinoff anime. As far as trainers go in this set, Red should be the top chase for most players.

#6 & 7 Shiny Charmander & Charmeleon

Shiny Charmeleon

Apart from the Shiny ex, Charmander and Charmeleon should be very popular Shiny Pokemon. Collectors will be looking to complete the entire Shiny set of this evolution line, alongside Shiny Charizard ex which will be the biggest chase of all for many.

#5 Pikachu ex Special Art

Pikachu ex Special Art

Anytime we get a Pikachu in the Pokemon TCG, there’s some significant excitement. Of course, Pikachu is essentially Pokemon’s mascot and the singe most recognizable in Pokemon but also one of the most recognizeable character in the world in general.

This artwork looks really solid and its got a pretty insane attack/HP combo for just a basic Pokemon.

#4 Shiny Lucario ex

Shiny Lucario ex

Lucario may not be as popular of a Pokemon as the Charizards and Pikachus of the Pokemon world, but its got a pretty solid following as far as Pokemon go. As such, Lucario fans in particular will enjoy bagging this solid shiny pull. Aura Sphere looks like a decent attack that also hits the bench, especially for a Stage 1 Pokemon.

#3 Poke Ball Crown Rare

Poke Ball Crown Rare

The very rare Poke Ball Rare card is going to be an epic pull for trainers. The fact that this Crown Rare contains the iconic Poke Ball should lend some additional excitement to the card. However, despite its rarity there are a few more cards that would be even more exciting to pull.

#2 Shiny Charizard ex

Shiny Charizard ex

I’m certainly not alone in having a huge love for Charizard ex’s Shiny form. The Red and the black just looks really solid for this iconic Pokemon. Of course, being a Charizard lends this card intrinsic value that will drive Pokemon TCG Pocket hunters wild.

#1 Giratina ex Immersive Art

Giratina ex Immersive Art

My personal favorite new card in Shining Revelry isn’t a shiny Pokemon at all but rather this impressive Giratina ex Pokemon painted against a textured and painterly background. In addition to containing Giratina ex (one of my favorite cards in the Pokemon TCG ever), the card looks fairly solid, with an ability that lets you accelerate energy early on, helping you get ahead of the competition.
