UNION ARENA TCG: Most Expensive BLEACH Cards

I’ve been a huge BLEACH fan since I was a kid, and on the BLEACH booster pack launch day for UNION ARENA, I couldn’t contain myself. Especially when I saw how gorgeous these parallel arts are.

Below we’ll take a look at the most expensive cards in BLEACH UNION ARENA. These cards are absolutely exciting artworks that capture the electric energy of the original manga, making them a worthy chase for any BLEACH anime fan.

Ichigo Kurosaki (041) (SR***) is the most expensive card in UNION ARENA: BLEACH

There’s only one three-star Super Rare right now for BLEACH and that’s this incredibly cool Ichigo Character. While the artwork from the two-star SR is just as good, this card’s rarity ultimately pushes it to the upper etchelons of UNION ARENA card value. With no actual market data for this card, all we can do is look at listed value. There are five cards currently listed online at over $1000 each. Whether or not that’s realistic we’ll have to wait and see.

Regardless, this card is massively collectible and if you happen to pull it, put it in a sleeve and lock it up where it will be nice and safe until you calm down enough to know what to do with it!

Otherwise, what makes this card really unique is the return to the original BLEACH manga style that made this particular story so captivating.

#1 Toshiro Hitsugaya (085) (SR**)

Market price: $283

Other than that incredibly rare Ichigo card, UNION ARENA’s BLEACH chase is undeniably Toshiro. A fan favorite from the Anime, Toshiro is known for his powerful Ice Dragon Bankai (power released from his sword) that is arguably one of the strongest. I think it’s his iconic Bankai mixed with the fact that he is by far the youngest captain in the show that makes him so popular.

This Parallel artwork mixed with Toshiro’s powerful effect make him highly sough after by collectors.

#2 Ichigo Kurosaki (041) (SR**)

Market price: $240.10

The man. The myth. The legend. Love him or hate him, Ichigo Kurosaki has left an indelible mark on the anime we’ve seen over the last twenty years, and is perhaps the most fully embodies the Shonen hero trope from anime. Not to mention Ichigo is one of the strongest anime swordsmen of all time, and also arguably one of the strongest in general.

Putting all of that aside, this Parallel rare features a signature belonging to the original voice actor for the card, making it incredibly special for that reason. It also features some stellar artwork that brings to mind earlier Ichigo rather than the latest-and-greatest version we get in Thousand Year Blood War

#3 Byakuya Kuchiki (050) (SR**)

Market price: $216

Byakuya is a character who always suffered from being an early antagonist to Ichigo. That meant that he would eventually end up looking pretty weak compared to the power creep that innevitably turns up in shows like this. Regardless, one of the best things about Blood War is we get some redemption for Byakuya as a major powerhouse of the Soul Reaper world when he unlocks additional powers beyond what he had been capable of before.

The Byakuya shown here is clearly a later Byakuya than what we first encounter in BLEACH. That’s obvious by his hair being down. Also, the power of his card shows he clearly has some new tricks up his sleeve

#4 Jugram Haschwalth (020) (SR**)

Market price: $140.50

I have no idea why this guy is so high up in the food chain as far as card values go. I barely remember him from the anime or manga. But for whatever reason (and quite likely because of the authentic BLEACH artwork in the background), Jugram’s parallel art is worth quite a bit more than the next card on this list.

#5 Rukia Kuchiki (052) (R*)

Market price: $40

Rukia Kuchiki recently learned her Bankai in Blood War and it’s scary strong. That being said, she’s been a staple of the story since the beginning when she first met Ichigo, and you kind of wonder if there isn’t a bit of a love interest between her and the main character.

Putting that aside, this artwork is great and it’s kind of crazy she isn’t worth more than she is compared to the other cards higher up on this list. Still, she’s quite valuable and her card feels very playable which could help her retain value in the long run.

Ultimately, these gorgeous and cool alternate art cards are among the best I’ve seen for any trading card game, especially given they contain the same spirit and style seen in the original BLEACH manga. The values these cards are fetching on the secondary card market are very promising for this brand new game that’s looking like it might just be here to stay.
