The Five Best Disney Villainous Characters, Ranked

There are plenty of characters to choose from in Disney Villainous. But which are the best? In this list, we’re going to be ranking the strongest characters for 2 player matches based on our experience. Let’s go!

5. Dr. Facilier – Wicked to the Core

Dr. Facilier is part of the Wicked to the Core expansion of Disney Villainous.

What makes Dr. Facilier so strong is how quickly he is able to win the game. Theoretically, he could win in a matter of turns, and only needs three cards in order to win. Unlike other villains that require multiple stages in order to win (bringing Snow White out from the Fate deck, or Jack into Oogie Boogie’s layer), Dr. Facilier can pull off swift wins in a single turn. However, his main strength is also his weakness, with his Fate deck allowing his opponents to add cards into it.

4. Evil Queen – Wicked to the Core

The Evil Queen is part of the Wicked to the Core expansion of Disney Villainous.

The Evil Queen is hands down one of my favorite characters to play as in all of Disney Villainous. Part of the fun of playing as her is that she’s tricky to get right, but super strong if you do. She has a really interesting poison mechanic that makes you think twice about how to leverage your resources, and her win condition is pretty attainable.

Like Oogie Boogie, she also isn’t hurt very badly by her Fate deck, and most of the heroes in her deck she can ignore thanks to her handy “I’ll Fix Ya!” card.

3. Queen of Hearts – The Worst Takes it All

The Queen of hearts is part of the original Disney Villainous game, Worst Takes it All.

Many consider Queen of Hearts to be the ultimate Villainous character. She can achieve her win condition quickly, and her fates are easily manageable thanks to her ability to “shrink” heroes or vanquish them with extra court guards.

There is an element of luck involved with achieving her victory condition, so you’ll want to make sure you have plenty of wickets and not just the bare minimum before you “take a shot.” That way you can ensure that odds are stacked in your favor.

2. Maleficent – The Worst Takes it All

Maleficent is part of the original Disney Villainous game: the Worst Takes it All.

Maleficent is arguably the strongest character to come out of the Disney Villainous base set. Her objective is very straightforward – just start your turn with a curse in every location and you’re good to go!

While her fates do hurt her (considerably more than Oogie’s do him), unless your opponent is constantly fating you, it’s pretty hard to actually stop her once she gets going.

1. Oogie Boogie – Filled with Fright

Oogie Boogie is part of the Filled with Fright expansion of Disney Villainous.

The newest character is also the best. Oogie Boogie is a thrill to play, and incredibly strong. What makes him so good? He’s kind of got it all. He has incredible draw cards, his fate cards don’t hurt him much, and he’s got a special “cheat” card designed just for him. His objective is also pretty straight forward. All he has to do is defeat Jack Skellington – after he’s managed to lure him into his lair.

I strongly recommend giving Oogie Boogie a try for yourself and seeing just how great he can be. Read our strategy guide for a few helpful tips on how to play and win with him.
