10 Most Valuable Cards in Paldea Evolved
10 Most Valuable Card in Paldea Evolved, Ranked
10. Meowscarada ex - 256/193 - SV02
It’s pretty fitting that this card would be at the bottom of the list for most valuable cards in Paldea Evolved. I mean, it ain’t that cool. Unless if you happen to be a big fan of Meowscarda. Maybe I’m giving away my age here, but I haven’t even heard of this Pokemon.
9. Dendra - 266/193 - SV02
Dendra is a pretty decent draw supporter – or at least would be if we didn’t have Iono or Professor’s Research. Anyways, this card is sort of cool, but not the greatest full art supporter we’ve ever seen, either.
8. Tinkaton ex - 262/193 - SV02
Tinkaton is kind of cool. It’s giving off Kirbyish vibes, and actually this Pokemon ex is sort of playable in the current standard format, so that’s cool. I doubt this card is ever going to go for a lot of money, but I’ve been wrong before.
7. Chi-Yu ex - 259/193
So, Chi-Yu is the last of the sort of eh cards on this list. Of those cards that came previously though, this one looks the coolest. It’s giving off some strong Lumineon vibes, looking a lot like that helpful fish in its Crown Zenith rendition.
6. Raichu - 211/193 - SV02
Finally! A really cool illustrator rare. I love the concept of this card – looks like Raichu has either been doing some late night studying, early morning working, or heavy drinking. Whatever it is, it stops and makes us think, and it’s hard to do that on a standard sized trading card. So kudos to you, Toshinao!
From Raichu on this list onwards, we’re going to be looking at some really cool illustrations of some really epic Pokemon, so stay with us.
5. Tyranitar - 222/193 - SV02
Okay, to be fair, the Raichu card looked a bit cooler and had a more unique concept. But man, we do love this Tyranitar, also. Tyranitar has always been something of an epic Pokemon since its release. Why? Not really sure – there’s just something about it that exudes power. And this illustration captures that powerful bigness perfectly.
This card and Raichu could very well end up holding up their value. If I pulled them from packs, I’d totally keep them.
4. Chien-Pao ex - 261/193 - SV02
Finally – the star of the show has arrived! Chien-Pao is a super cool card, and also makes up one of the best archetypes in the standard format right now. That aside, this card is seriously cool, and I love how it draws you in visually, making you really feel like you’re part of that shivery tempest Chien-Pao looks totally dominant in.
3. Iono - 254/193
Iono is a seriously cool card. It looks cool, and it’s had an impressive impact on the meta. That being said, I’m not comfortable with this recent trend in Pokemon towards any card with a girl on it going for exorbitant amounts online. Feels a little off, and this card doesn’t warrant the price tag associated with it.
2. Magikarp - 203/193 - SV02
I’m not sure how this seemingly harmless Magikarp ended up fetching this kind of money online, but I dig it. Magikarp has long been one of my favorite Pokemon thanks to its unbridled potential. Although it’s likely to lose money in the short term, you never know – there are examples of Magikarp becoming incredibly valuable overtime.
#1 Iono - 269/193 - SV02
Sometimes there is a rare card that tops to most valuable card list for collectors. And sometimes there’s a card that provides the most strategic value. In this set, there is one card that achieves both. That card is…drum roll…
Iono fills a void in the meta game that has been felt since Marnie left the game in the 2023 rotation. Iono is a lot like Marnie, but with even greater strategic potential. Actually, it’s sort of like a Roxanne and Marnie mixed together.
