A Special Lorcana D23 Collection and Sixth Set Spoiler Revealed!

Ravensburger has just unveiled an exciting new collectors set commemorating the first – and very successful – year of Lorcana. This D23 Collection Set features one card from every single set of Lorcana with new extended scenery and the coveted D23 promo stamp reserved for a select few, and highly valuable promos in the past.

Unlike previous D23 promos, however, these will be receiving a much broader release, meaning they won’t only be available at the conference but will also be sold at the parks. This is pretty exciting for those of us who won’t be attending the conference as it means we can much more easily get them while at the parks or one of the other stores that will be selling them.

It also means that these cards will be worth significantly less on the secondary card market than the original cards were – a fact that I doubt escapes Lorcana creators. After all, cards being worth a ton on the secondary card market doesn’t really benefit the actual creators of the game. It seems like Ravensburger wants more people to get their hands on this epic set, and pocket some extra cash in the meantime.

A new card from Lorcana’s sixth set is spoiled

Apart from how cool this collectors set looks, another big piece of news was dropped along with it, and that is a sneak peek at a card from Lorcana’s yet to be formerly announced sixth set. While we don’t even yet know the name of that set, we now have our very first Lorcana spoil in the form of Oswald.

Oswald – The Lucky Rabbit

Favorable Chance: During your turn, whenever a card is put into your inkwell, you may reveal the top card of your deck. If it’s an item card, you may play that item for free and they enter play exerted. Otherwise, put it on the bottom of your deck.

While this Oswald doesn’t have the most impressive ability in the world, it’s still fascinating getting to see a card from two sets ahead. Even more than that, Oswald is a pretty historic character for Disney, as it was the original creation of Walt Disney before Mickey Mouse. The character was unfortunately stolen from Disney early on. Now, Disney once again owns right to this character.

Where can you get the D23 collection set?

As of right now, you can get the collection at the D23 conference being held in August, as well as at Disney Parks and select Disney retail locations starting August 9, 2024. Of course, as it becomes more widely spread, you’ll be able to buy this product via TCGPlayer and places like that (we’ll include a link once available).

The collection is set to retail for $99, and will likely be worth every penny!
