The 12 Most Expensive Lost Origin Cards, Ranked

Lost Origin Most Expensive Cards

12. Giratina V Ultra Rare

Market price: $9.24

Starting this list off at a pretty affordable price point, Giratina V is still pretty rare to pull. It’s an epic Pokemon, and also one of the most relevant meta decks today.

11. Colress’s Experiment Full Art

Market Price: $9.45

It’s nice to see a normal full art supporter card on a list of top cards for a set. I guess it makes sense. Colress's Experiment is, after all, one of the strongest cards in the standard format right now. And this is a pretty cool version of that now famous card.

Lost Origin Most Expensive Cards

10. Giratina VSTAR

Market price: $9.47

Giratina VSTAR’s price is largely thanks to its dominance in the Pokemon Trading Card Game right now. As the star of Lost Origin, it’s not surprising that Giratina would feature prominently. And for good reason. Giratina VSTAR will undoubtedly be remembered by Pokemon TCG fans as one of the most iconic cards of the Sword and Shield Era.

7. Galarian Perrserker V (Alternate Full Art)

Market price: $16.42

Despite featuring a Pokemon who isn’t exactly a fan favorite, this alternate art of Galarian Perrserker V is pretty cool, and it’s held up well in value overtime.

6. Giratina VSTAR (201) (Rainbow)

Market price: $19.72

5. Pikachu V - SWSH11: Lost Origin Trainer Gallery

Market price: $26.03

This has got to be one of the most gorgeous and epic Pikachu cards of all time. Not only is the artwork incredible, it features the original Pikachu alongside not Ash but Red this time, the true original Pokemon trainer.

It’s pretty much a must for any die hard Pokemon collector, and a worthy chase card to say the least.

4. Rotom V Alternate Art

Market price: $30.64

This alt art is one of the coolest in the set and also one that I pulled myself from a booster. So I have a special connection with it. That being said, when the set originally came out I predicted that it would hold up value overtime.

That prediciton has turned out to be true. While it may not be worth the $50 or so dollars it was upon release, it’s still at $30 and showing no signs of losing value anytime soon.

3. Pikachu VMAX Trainer Gallery

Market price: $38.90

While not nearly as cool or beautiful as the Pikachu V version, keeping with the Red theme is still pretty epic, and a bit of a mashup with the current Gigantamax situation. So this card gets an A+ from me.

2. Aerodactyl V (Alternate Art)

Market price: $100

Ask anyone who their favorite Pokemon is and…they probably won’t say Aerodactly. Still, its a pretty iconic Pokemon in its own way, and this alt art does it justice.

And while Aerodactly may not have the same star appeal as Charizard or Pikachu, it’s still a cool dragon-like Pokemon from first generation, and that nostalgia is partly what helps this epic alternate art card fetch the second highest value of any card in Lost Origins.

As I said when Lost Origins came out, this card is likely to retain value well, and it certainly has. It’s also one of the few alt arts of the era that actually saw an increase in value after the prerelease period after people realized how hard it was to pull.

1. Giratina V Alternate Art is the Most Valuable Card in Lost Origins

Market price: $290

Of course, Giratina being the star of the show that it is, it was destined to also reign supreme in the contest of cash. There’s something about the design of this card that brings to mind the epic artwork of Rayquaza VMAX’s alternate art from way back in Evolving Skies. And while that card has held up incredibly well in value since its release, so has this one!

It’s part of the reason Lost Origin is one of the best Pokemon packs to buy right now in Pokemon TCG – everyone wants a piece of that Giratina V! reason Giratina V Alt Art will undoubtedly go down in history as one of the most prized pulls from all of Sword and Shield, and it is certainly worth adding to your collection.
