Pokemon GO October Community Day 2023 – Date, Time, Goodies
This month’s Pokemon GO Community Day features Timburr. While Timburr might not be the hottest Pokemon around, this Community Day has several things going for it that will make you want to tune in. But first, a few details.
When is the Pokemon GO October Community Day?
The October Community Day is scheduled for Sunday, October 15, 2023, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm local time.
Which Pokemon is Featured in this Month’s Community Day?
One of the most exciting things about Pokemon GO Community Days for players is the increased chance of catching a shiny version of the featured Pokemon. While this is normally a big draw, it’s up in the air as to whether or not Timburr and its evolved forms will be a big enough of a draw for players and fans of the mobile gaming app.
What Else is Special About the Pokemon GO October Community Day?
Although catching shiny Timburrs is what most people will be excited about, it’s not the only thing to do this Community Day. There are a few other exciting draws and events happening that you should know about.
The Community Day Special Research Story – Muscle Memories
The Timburr Community Day exclusive special research story will be available to players for a small additional fee of US $1.00.
Event Bonuses
This Community Day boasts a plethora of pretty cool bonuses. These include:
You get 3x Stardust for catching Pokemon.
2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day.
2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
Trades will require 50% less Stardust.
Community Day-themed Field Research
In addition to the paid event, there will also be Timburr-Themed field research. These include extra encounters with Timburr (and added chances to encounter a shiny), chances to pick up Ultra Balls, and more!
Special Four Star Raids from 5-10pm
If three hours isn’t enough Pokemon GO time for you, you’re in luck. For five hours following the end of the Community Day main window, you’ll still be able to relive the fun and catch Timburr’s thanks to special Four Star Raids featuring Timburr’s evolved form, Gurdurr.
When you successfully beat Gurdurr, you get the chance to catch more Timburr’s! And they will have the same chance of being Shiny as they did during the main three hour window.
Get a Special Move
Lastly, if you evolve your Timburr into a Conkeldurr during Community Day (2-10pm), it will learn a dark-type attack called Brutal Swing.
Our Thoughts on the October Community Day
While we are excited to get out and catch some Pokemon, we can’t help but feel like this month’s Community Day is somewhat less exciting than the September 2023 Community Days that gave us the opportunity to catch some Charmanders and Grubbins. That being said, you never know how something is going to go until you try it!
Let’s just hope the less enticing choice in Pokemon this month is because the Halloween events happening later in the month are going to be absolutely terrifyingly terrific!
