Pokemon TCG Happy Meals Come Back to McDonald’s in 2025 with Dragons
Despite the fact that McDonald’s Happy Meal Pokemon cards aren’t exactly the most expensive collectible items out there, there’s something undeniably fun about picking up a cheeseburger Happy meal and opening up your favorite packs of Pokemon cards the way you wish you had done when you were little.
Starting January 21st and running until February 24th, you will be able to once again get a Pokemon TCG themed Happy Meal from a McDonald’s near you – only this time the booster packs will contain many exciting dragon Pokemon.
Additionally, the 2025 Pokemon TCG McDonald’s Happy Meal looks a little bit different than it did in previous years, leaning harder into the collector’s side of things with special and unique boxes you can collect, along with stickers featuring some of the most iconic Pokemon around.
McDonald’s Pokemon TCG Happy Meal 2025 features Dragons
As per usual, the Pokemon cards featured in the McDonald’s Happy Meal are reprints from other Pokemon sets albeit with new numbers denoting their inclusion in this unique set. Additionally, Pokemon cards that you would find elsewhere in Pokemon packs appear here with special confetti foiling – a hallmark of McDonald’s Happy Meal Cards.

Will the Pokemon TCG Happy Meal cards be valuable?
With a surging interest in the Pokemon TCG once again taking hold thanks to incredible sets like Surging Sparks and Prismatic Evolutions gaining widespread notice, you might be wondering how valuable these Pokemon cards will be. In reality, however, McDonald’s Pokemon cards tend not to be very valuable, at least not right away.
You might be able to sell these cards for a few dollars but typically these packs are more for the fun of having a McDonald’s meal with Pokemon packs than they are for serious value hunting. That being said, Pikachu tends to be the more valuable of the litter whenever it gets featured in a McDonald’s pack, and I could see the Roaring Moon card featured here being very popular with players as that is a competitive-grade card.
Lastly, that Charizard included in the set could actually collect some value. While it won’t be worth anything crazy, that particular card is a reprint from an older set and could carry with it some interest among Charizard collectors.
With an insanely hyped set coming out this month in the form of Prismatic Evolutions, and now a McDonald’s Pokemon TCG Happy Meal, too, 2025 is shaping up already to be a great year for Pokemon TCG fans!
