UNION ARENA: One Punch Man Spoilers, Products, Rare Battle
Just when you thought UNION ARENA couldn’t get any more exciting, we have later this month the highly anticipated One Punch Man set releasing not only in North America but in Japan as well. That’s right: starting with the release of the Starter Deck on February 28 and then the booster pack/main release on March 7, UNION ARENA players around the world will be able to build and test decks featuring the legendary Saitama character who ends his battles with one punch.
How will this insane character translate into UNION ARENA? Will he take the meta by storm and KO everything in “on punch?” Or will his card be more of a gimmick than a game changer?
We’ll get into all of this and more in the spoilers below.
One Punch Man card spoilers
First things first, let’s talk about the cards revealed so far from the set, starting with the signature cards.
Unlike past sets that did feature a few signature rare cards, this set is getting a whopping seven signature cards in total, with one of them being the coveted SR***.
While this lineup of SR** will undoubtedly be hugely valuable and sought after by collectors, we also get a hint here about what the flavor of the different decks in One Punch man are likely to be. It seems this set we will be getting Yellow, Green, and red decks. However, from what we have seen so far, it feels like Yellow is going to be the strongest of the three.
That’s not necessarily because of the yellow cards listed above, but because of additional spoilers leaked by Bandai.
Four cost Saitama and Genos look strong
Hailing from the yellow energy color, this Saitama and this Genos look stronger and more impactful than anything we see in the SR** lineup. Saitama acts as added removal for your deck while also enabling you to get an attack off for 10000 BP. The only drawback here is that he will be going back to the bottom of your deck after attacking, and that’s a pretty big one.
While this card will undoubtedly make its way into what is looking like is going to be a pretty formidable yellow deck, it’s not exactly meta breaking as there are plenty of scenarios where it would be better to have a 4000 BP body rather than a one and done card like four-cost Saitama.
Four-cost Genos, on the other hand looks like a very solid card with Impact for the duration of the turn he is played. He also grants the ability to play a card from your hand for free when he is sidelined which could be handy in a variety of situations.
One Punch Man UNION ARENA Products
Both of these cards are going to be included in the One Punch Man Yellow starter deck, meaning that deck should be a pretty solid buy for players looking to build what will likely be a highly competitive deck. As already mentioned, this deck will be released earlier than the booster packs, becoming available on February 28, 2025.
Additionally, UNION ARENA booster boxes are a fantastic buy and I typically buy around four per set release which ensures I’m able to put together a few decks in full.
One Punch Man Rare Battle
Lastly, One Punch Man will be getting a Rare Battle just like the other sets released so far in the English version. Rare Battles for One Punch Man will begin March 7th and run until April 6th at game stores near you. Check the Bandai TCG+ app for more details, and learn more about additional, large scale Rare Battles coming to the West Coast.
Winners get this sick Winner card featuring Saitama while top four get the promo without the “Winner” stamp.
