Upcoming UNION ARENA TCG Releases
One of the most unique things about UNION ARENA compared to other popular TCGs is its focus on specific anime per set. This means collectors theoretically can space out their purchases as they wait for the anime they are a fan of. This could potentially help with power creep (assuming the game remains balanced). Assuming things are kept even, perhaps your BLEACH Purple deck you build today could withstand the test of time until the next BLEACH set gets released.
Regardless, let’s take a look at the upcoming UNION ARENA English releases you should be excited about.
Past release: Jujutsu Kaisen – November 22, 2024
The third UNION ARENA set to be released was Jujutsu Kaisen. Like the previous sets released, it came with a starter deck and booster box, as well as the very cool storage box/playmat option. JJK had an instant impact on the UNION ARENA meta and the Blue Sukuna deck is the most popular in the game at the moment.

Past release: Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion – December 13, 2024
Just in time for Christmas, Code Geass released on December 13, 2024 to pretty big hype given it’s powerful new deck strategies and valuable new cards.
While this set didn’t get a starter deck, it did get plenty of additional support including an exclusive release event winner card, a rare battle, and some insanely powerful decks like Code Geass Purple that have fully changed the meta.
Code Geass Booster Box
Past release: Demon Slayer – January 24, 2025
Unlike Code Geass, Demon Slayer got its own starter deck based on the powerful Nezuko/Tanjiro dynamic. starter deck along with it that came out one week ahead of the main release on January 17, 2025. Although this set isn’t the most powerful we’ve seen from UNION ARENA, Tanjiro Yellow is a top tier deck. Meanwhile, the Tanjiro serialized SR*** card looks absolutely gorgeous and is drawing an impressive market value online.

Latest release: One Punch Man – March 7, 2025
Hopefully February doesn’t prove to be too much of a downer for UNION ARENA fans as there isn’t a single release planned during this time. However, we do get One Punch Man in early March to make up for the gap. Hopefully One Punch Man doesn’t totally break the game – he does beat every body in one punch.
I could see UNION ARENA having a lot of fun making a mechanic out of this gimmicky aspect of the show, and plenty of people will be excited to take Saitama out onto the arena to duel.
One Punch Man products
There are a few noteworthy specifications to highlight from the upcoming One Punch Man set. For starters, One Punch veers off course from the last several expansions in what its ultimate chase card is going to be. Unlike those sets that contained an incredibly rare serialized card, this set will be more akin to the phenomenal BLEACH expansion, featuring a top chase SR*** card with a signature from the anime cast.
The triple star rare isn’t the only card getting a signature in this expansion, however: we’re also going to be getting six additional signature art cards to chase. While these likely won’t posses the same kind of value as the triple star simply because they aren’t as scarce, they’re still a worthy chase for fans of the anime and the game.
The best way to get these signature rare cards are going to be from One Punch Man booster boxes.
One Punch Man starter deck release date: February 28, 2025
There will also be a starter deck available in this set as with most UA sets. Starter decks contain exclusive cards you can only get from purchasing them so they’re certainly worth picking up for their affordable price point. The One Punch Man starter deck release date also coincides with the release event period for One Punch. During this time UA players can attend release events where they will build decks from packs and compete for an exlusive winner card.
One Punch Man releases simultaneously in English and Japan
For the first time in UNION ARENA, a set is releasing simultaneously in Japan and North America. This puts added excitement and anticipation on the One Punch Man set as players really have no idea what to expect from this incredibly hyped set. Could it break the game? Could it really offer nothing competitively at all? What will the full set list be?
Right now, we really have no idea so stay tuned for more info!
Next Release: Sword Art Online – May 2, 2025
UA fans were excited to say the least when the official announcement for this set joining the English version of the game came out. However, it’s coming earlier than what many of us likely assumed, hitting shelves as early as Late April/Early May. While the booster box and packs will hit shelves May 2, 2025, the starter deck hits shelves even earlier on April 25, 2025.
BLEACH: Thousand Year Blood War Volume 2 – May 30, 2025
UNION ARENA fans weren’t expecting to see the second Volume for BLEACH popping up this early. Fans of that anime and of the first set don’t have to wait long to enhance their strategies and decks with new cards.
Although they haven’t released spoilers in English yet, from the image it looks like we can definitely expect some enhancements to come to our favorite characters like Rukia, Ichigo, and Renji just as those same characters gain enhancements to their own abilities from Area Zero to better fend off the Quincy.
Black Clover – May 30, 2025
Interestingly enough, Black Clover will be seeing its release at the same time as BLEACH Volume 2. That should create plenty of excitement for UA fans who get to not only try out the newest cards in BLEACH’s second volume but to also pit their favorite Soul Reaper against Black Clover decks and strategies.
Jujutsu Kaisen Vol.2 – June 27, 2025
Not long after Jujutsu Kaisen released in the English version we got the second volume confirmed the following year. JJK fans won’t have to wait too long to upgrade their decks with new cards, as the next set will be releasing right in the middle of 2025.
It should be interesting to see what more powerful cards this set brings into JJK’s arsenal. Already Blue Sukuna is the best and most played deck in the game. Could it get any better?
I guess we will just have to wait and see!
Fullmetal Alchemist – July 25, 2025
Fullmetal Alchemist will be hitting shelves near you on July 25, 2025 right in the middle of summer. Hopefully everyone will get some time off around then to enjoy this exciting new set during that time. While the full release is slated for July 25, 2025, the release event period starts a little earlier on July 18, 2024 when the starter deck gets released.
Here are two artworks on cards you can get when the set comes out, as well as a snapshot of the products revealed.
Given the insane popularity and near legendary status among anime enjoyers that show has, I’m sure the expansion will be a good one.
Attack on Titan – August 29, 2025
Code Geass: Leleouch of the Rebellion Vol. 2 – August 29, 2025
Rurouni Kenshin – September 26, 2025
At GAMA Expo 2025, Bandai leaked the fact that we will be getting yet another classic anime set added to the roster – this time in the form of Rurouni Kenshin. Since then, the set has been officially acknowledged by Bandai along with the September 26 release date.
Not much is known about the set other than we’ll be getting it in the English version and it will likely be another simultaneous release with Japan, the same as One Punch Man.
Hunter x Hunter Vol. 2 – September 26, 2025
The same month Kenshin comes out we’ll also be getting a Vol. 2 for Hunter x Hunter.
YuYu Hakusho – October 31, 2025
Kaiju No. 8 – October 31, 2025
Confirmed sets without release dates
In addition to the above sets that have fully confirmed release dates, Bandai has confirmed additional titles that will be coming to the English version of the game, although their exact release dates remain unknown.
Nikke – Goddess of Victory
Needless to say, there are some very, very exciting things to come in UNION ARENA, and given the quality of the artwork we’ve seen from chase cards and how fun the game is to play, I don’t think this game is likely to dissapoint!
