UNION ARENA TCG: Most Expensive Hunter x Hunter Cards

UNION ARENA made its English debut with two fantastic sets: Hunter x Hunter and BLEACH: Thousand Year Blood War. While both have gorgeous cards, Hunter x Hunter takes the edge on hyper valuable cards.

In the Hunter x Hunter set list, currently there are more cards fetching insane numbers than BLEACH, despite the fact that the BLEACH set boasts plenty of gorgeous cards.

This seems to say that Hunter x Hunter has a bigger fanbase among UNION ARENA players/collectors at the moment. While that’s subject to change (like all things in the TCG world), I will agree that at my local game store, there are plenty of BLEACH boxes still but no Hunter X Hunter.

However you feel about that, let’s take a look at the current most expensive cards you can pull from a Hunter X Hunter booster box.

#1 Gon Freecss (078) (SR***)

#1 Gon Freecss (078) (SR***)

Market price: $595

Both BLEACH and Hunter x Hunter have only one of these extraordinarily rare cards apiece. While the Ichigo card bears a signature on it to make it unique, this card has Gon Freecss’s name written in a language that is unique to the show.

#2 Hisoka (043) (SR**)

Market price: 391.22

Hisoka is a fan favorite for Hunter x Hunter – and could even be argued for being the most popular character in the anime. Show fandom aside, UA players appreciate Hisoka’s powerful effect. Indeed, this combination of not only popularity and playability but intriguing artwork (featuring Hisoka with his signature weapon – a deck of cards) drives this parallel rare to “unparalleled” (pardon the pun) heights. It is not only in the top spot among the chase cards in Hunter x Hunter but the top spot of all UNION ARENA chase cards – barring the triple star cards.

3. Killua Zoldyck (094) (SR**)

Killua Zoldyck

Market price: $331.16

Speaking of popular characters, Killua Zoldyck is arguably the most popular character in the anime, and one of the most expensive cards in UNION ARENA. Another card bearing the voice actor’s signature, Killua is a powerful character capable of either activating from a BP boost or lowering opposing character’s BP.

However, I think the one thing keeping this character from reaching greater heights from a market value perspective than it already has is the fact that Killua isn’t a Raid character. Raid characters are very powerful in the current UNION ARENA meta, and that’s unlikely to change anytime soon.

#4 Gon Freecss (078) (SR**)

#4 Gon Freecss (078) (SR**)

Market price: $256.02

While not as valuable as the version with Gon Frecss’s name written in foreign characters, this Super Rare does contain the signature from the voice actor, as well as unique and parallel artwork.

#5 Illumi (050) (SR**) – Hunter x Hunter

Market price: $203.75

Part attacker, part draw engine, Illumi is a powerful Raid character within the UNION ARENA TCG. Meanwhile this card contains the voice actor signature, as well as an allusion to the Ilumi’s powers of manipulation, as depicted in the series of strings like a puppet master in the background.

These are the very most valuable of the parallel rare cards found in Hunter x Hunter booster boxes. There’s plenty of cards to chase in this set, making it highly desire-able for collectors and equally fun for anyone looking for another rare card to add to their collection or bling-out their deck!
