Scarlet & Violet Pokemon–151 Elite Trainer Box – Is it Worth It?
We’ve been incredibly excited for this Elite Trainer Box to come out, so we couldn’t wait to open up the packs inside. Our impression of the Elite Trainer Box was that the packaging did not disappoint. The inclusion of nine packs makes the ETB pretty much market value, so we would definitely say it is worth it.
However, we weren’t as thrilled with the cards themselves as we had hoped to be. The idea of collecting all 151 Pokemon again seemed like a fantastic idea. However, the Pokemon themselves look and feel so different than what the originals looked and felt like that it doesn’t deliver on the nostalgic appeal as strongly as did the Celebrations special set just about two years ago.
That being said, this is still a fantastic special expansion, and our favorite so far from the Scarlet and Violet era of Pokemon TCG.
