Shrouded Fable Card List
Joltik 1/64
Galvantula 2/64
Rowlet 3/64
This cute Rowlet card was revealed via the UK’s Pokemon TCG Twitter.
Dartix 4/64
Decidueye 5/64
Drowzee 016/064
Here’s the iconic Drowzee blending into the corner of what looks like an upscale restaurant, giving a whole new meaning to “just part of the furniture.”
Hypno 17/64
Duskull 18/64
Dusclops 19/64
Dusknoir 20/64
Cresselia 21/64
With beautiful artwork and an intriguing ability, I could see Crescilia being an interesting tech in decks that have no trouble getting energy onto it – namely Gardevoir ex. Being able to see one of your prize cards via “Crescent Purge” for the entire game can give you a slight edge, letting you choose it as your next prize or simply avoiding it if it’s a card you don’t like.
Sylveon 22/64
Houndour 007/064
Who else is excited for a fire-type Houndour? All the other Houndour I’ve seen lately in card form have been dark type. Plus, the backdrop here looks just like Paldea – so good on Pokemon for sticking with the theme!
Houndoom 8/64
Iron Moth 9/64
Horsea 10/64
Seadra 11/64
Sneasel 13/64
Weavile 14/64
Croagunk 23/64
Bloodmoon Ursaluna 25/64
Slither Wings 26/64
Zubat 27/64, Golbat 28/64 and Crobat 29/64
Absol 30/64
Inkay 33/64 and Malamar 34/64
Malamar’s “Colluding Tentacles” attack is certainly intriguing and could find its way into niche dark decks. However, it’s not quite strong enough to be competitively viable at the top level of play and it’s likely this is a filler card for this set.
Zorua 31/64
Zoroark 32/64
This Zoroark has an interesting attack that could certainly have it see play. The ability to dish out a potential 360 damage attack against decks that rely heavily on two-prize Pokemon is definitely relevant in the current meta.
Yveltal 35/64
Genesect 40/64
This card is pretty brilliant. Originally revealed by the Pokemon TCG’s social media account in answer to a question they asked about ACE SPEC cards, Genesect in Shrouded Fable may not be as strong as the Genesect V from Fusion Strike, but it certainly could be used in the right deck to gain an upper-hand. Shutting off the ability to play ACE SPECs is very big in a game with several overpowered ACE SPEC cards. Given Genesect’s stats and one-prize status, it’s a pain to take it out as well, meaning you could conceivable keep its “ACE Nullifier” ability running all game long.
Cufant 41/64
Copperajah 42/64
Varoom 43/64
Axew 44/64
Fraxure 45/64
Haxorus 46/64
This Haxorus card reminds me of another Stage 2 from Sword and Shield with the same ability, and that card certainly saw plenty of play as a powerful tech against powerful decks like Mew VMAX. I’m talking about the Single Strike Beedrill. That card had a pretty handy combo thanks to a card that let you play it without evolving it. Haxorus doesn’t benefit from being able to be easily played, but is certainly a handy tech card for Regidrago VSTAR – a Pokemon that can use this attack from just having Haxorus in the discard.
Kyurem 47/64
Kyurem is one of the more anticipated cards coming out of Shrouded Fable, making our list of most impactful cards from this set on the meta. Kyurem’s “Plasma Bane” ability combined with its bench decimating “Trifrost” attack spell bad news for Lost Zone players that rely on Colress’s Experiment. That being said, it’s a very situational tech card that most decks will skip, and it doesn’t get around Manaphy’s ability. Still, I could see this being a really cool play especially if you pair it with Cancelling Cologne and Prime Catcher to get rid of Manaphy’s ability and take a triple knockout.
Meowth 48/64
Meowth gets an unusually good rendition in this card from the main set, most likely because of the gorgeous Persian Illustration Rare that we’re getting in this set.
Persian 49/64
Eevee 50/64
Furfrou 51/64
Stufful 52/64
Bewear 53/64
Colress's Tenacity 57/64
Colress’s Tenacity is a bit underwhelming compared to another, much better Colress card that we all know and love. I doubt this card will see a ton of play but if a deck shows up that absolutely needs a specific stadium then I suppose it would work in that scenario.
Binding Mochi 55/64
Binding Mochi is a card with resonance with the Scarlet & Violet game and an important item in that world. In the upcoming Loyal Three deck (which we will write about soon), this card can be immensely powerful and used to power up your poisoned Pokemon to take big KOs. That’s especially true if you pair it with Pecharunt’s “Controlling Chains” ability to make your other Pokemon poisoned.
Academy at Night 54/64
Cassiopeia 56/64
Night Stretcher 61/64
Janine’s Secret Art 59/64
Powerglass 63/64
Xerosic’s Machinations 64/64
Shrouded Fable ACE SPEC Cards
Dangerous Laser 58/64
This ACE SPEC makes me chuckle a little. I don’t think anyone will actually play this card unless they are trolling. Still, it could be an interesting play in particularly spicy decks where players expect to be playing decks that don’t run any switching cards.
Neutralization Zone 60/64
Poke Vital A 62/64
Shrouded Fable Pokemon ex
Pecharunt ex 039/064
Along with the announcement of this special set, we got a first look at several dark type Pokemon ex. One of those is Pecharunt ex. I’m not really seeing the use case for this particular ability called “Controlling Chains” apart from how it helps you with Okidogi. That being said, Irritating Burst is a very solid attack that I could see getting this card into decks that wouldn’t otherwise play it.
Fezandipiti ex 038/064
This Pokemon has a very strong ability, letting you draw three cards as long as one of your Pokemon was knocked out last turn. Meanwhile, it has a decent attack as well that could see itself worked into many decks as a sharpshooter thanks to colorless energy cost.
Munkidori ex 037/064
In Munkidori ex we have a Pokemon that finds synergy with Pecharunt ex. This is an interesting combo as it causes Munikdori ex to have much the same sort of advantage as other cards get from being single prize. This makes his otherwise underwhelming attack actually fairly decent.
Okidogi ex 036/034
Okidogi ex is a very compelling card. It works in tandem with Pecharunt to get it poisoned, then allow it to dish out 260 damage. That’s an impressive attack stack for a Pokemon that also boasts 250 base HP.
Revavroom ex 15/64
Kingdra ex 12/64
Shrouded Fable Illustration Rares
Tapu Bulu 65/64
Houndoom 66/64
In general, Houndoom is a pretty underrated Pokemon. This shadowy artwork, however does it justice by leaning into the darker side of its typing and the “shrouded” element of this set. The result is an Illustration Rare card that could easily end up at the top of many players list of cards to chase from this set.
Horsea 67/64
This card has easily one of the most gorgeous illustrations of the set with an almost Ghibliesque quality to it. Additionally it features one of the original Pokemon, Horsea, lending it a nostalgic pull for collectors
Dusknoir evolution line 68-70/64
In a post on X, Pokemon revealed three illustration rare cards that will be part of its August English set. These cards are the Dusknoir evolution line and feature some pretty cool and spooky artwork. In them you see the eerie ghost Pokemon creeping on dimly lit street corners, behind bushes, and in its ultimate stage, glaring at you through your window. I love the concept and it certainly ties in with Dusknoir’s ghostly typing.
Players might also be interested in Dusknoir for their deck especially if they are looking to build an off-meta deck with it as its ability could actually be quite effective in the right scenarios.
Cresselia 71/64
Zorua 75/64
A beautifully drawn picture of Zorua sleeping on a banister is enough to drive any Pokemon TCG collector wild
Persian 78/64
This Persian Illustration Rare card is my favorite in the set fro an artwork perspective. It’s got that nostalgic pull that tends to do well in these expansions (look at the cost of Eevee from Twilight Masquerade and you’ll see what I mean). In an expansion with relatively few nostalgic bites, this card will likely be highly sought after by collectors.
Apart from that, the artwork is pretty exceptional, even by Pokemon TCG standards which boasts an impressive array of gorgeously illustrated cards. What really stands out about it is the introspection Persian is showing as its stares both out the window and at itself is pretty unixpected from this Pokemon. That just adds to the impact of the artwork, however, as it serves to pull you in to wonder what exactly this cat has to be so thoughtful about.
Munkidori 72/64
Munkidori’s Illustration Rare is going to be a hot card in Shrouded Fable. Already this card is burning up the meta, making many decks stronger than they otherwise could be. Although maybe not the hugest chase for collectors, players looking to add this gorgeous card to their decks should drive up the value.
Fezandipiti 73/64
This Fezandipiti card features gorgeous illustration and an intriguing background that fans of the game will recognize.
Okidogi 74/64
Cufant 76/64
Fraxure 77/64
Bewear 79/64
Shrouded Fable Ultra Rares
Shrouded Fable Special Illustration Rares
Special Illustration Rare cards are typically the most valuable in any given modern Pokemon expansion. Here are those that have been officially revealed to be part of the expansion by the Pokemon Company.
Pecharunt ex 93/64
Pecharunt ex’s impressive artwork has been officially revealed to be part of Shrouded Fable. Likely to be the top chase cards for most collectors, this special illustration rare cards features Pecharunt’s Subjugating Chains in visual form. Given this Pokemon’s place as a mythic Pokemon in the game that you actually get to catch after completing all other adventures in the Teal Mask/Indigo Disk DLC, similarly collectors will likely see bagging this card as the final step to collecting all of the set.
Munkidori ex 91/64
Okidogi ex 90/64
Fezandipiti ex 92/64
Cassiopeia 094/064
Intriguing art, an iconic character, and a powerful ability will make this SIR highly sought after by both players and collectors, and likely drive up this price to be one of the most expensive in the set.
Shrouded Fable Hyper Rares
Pecharunt ex 95/64
Earthen Vessel 96/64
Earthen Vessel is ubiquitous in competitive play. Similar to the Buddy-Buddy Poffin Hyper Rare that is among the most valuable cards in Twilight Masquerade, players will be looking to add multiple copies of this valuable card to their decks, thereby driving up its value beyond what its rarity alone would achieve.
Powerglass 97/64
Darkness Energy 98/64
Steel Energy 99/64
Shrouded Fable Promos
While promo cards are never directly tied to the sets they release, they are correlated with them, being released usually alongside the same products. In this set, we have some particularly special cards that look like Special Illustration Rare cards. Available in standard products you can purchase of the shelves, I imagine these are going to be very very popular among collectors.
Greninja ex SVP 132
While we may have gotten a Greninja ex as part of Twilight Masquerade, this Special Illustration-like artwork is exclusive to the Illustration Collection being released with Shrouded Fable. This card is so gorgeous that it makes me want to buy the collection in and of itself. If the rest of the artworks are as cool as this one, then I’ll also be excited to crack open those packs in hopes of pulling them!
Kingambit SVP 130
To be honest, I’m not sure why anyone would pick this particular box up when they could get Greninja ex instead. Kingambit is included in an Illustration collection but Greninja ex is the much better card for players and collectors.
Kingdra ex SVP 131
In case you were a little underwhelmed by the Kingambit, you’ll be glad to know that the artwork for the special illustration promo Kingdra card is absolute fire. It reminds me of the famous Edo artwork “Under the Wave off Kanagawa.” It’s so gorgeous that it’s almost hard to believe it’s going to be readily available in a box right off the shelves. It seems likely that these Illustration Collection boxes are going to sell like hotcakes given the quality of the artwork.
Pecharunt SVP 129
Not to be confused with the ex version of the card with the same name, this Pecharunt has a powerful ability that dishes out massive damage to poisoned Pokemon. If this Pokemon looks exciting to you, then you will be glad to know you can get it from the Shrouded Fable ETB.
